Sterile Solution
Bacteriostatic Water 30ml
0.9% Benzyl Alcohol โ Pharmaceutical Grade Reconstitution Solvent
Product Description
Bacteriostatic Water (BW) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is the recommended reconstitution solvent for lyophilised peptide research compounds, including all PeakLab Australia products.
The 0.9% benzyl alcohol content inhibits bacterial growth, allowing the reconstituted solution to be stored and used over multiple research sessions without compromising sterility. This is particularly important for research protocols requiring repeated sampling from the same vial.
Each PeakLab Australia 30ml vial is manufactured to pharmaceutical-grade standards, with sterility testing and endotoxin testing performed on each batch. The vial is sealed with a sterile rubber septum suitable for repeated needle penetration.
This product is supplied for laboratory and research use only. It is not intended for direct human administration as a standalone product.
Research Context
Bacteriostatic water is the standard reconstitution medium for lyophilised peptides in research settings. The benzyl alcohol preservative maintains sterility for up to 28 days after initial puncture, making it significantly more practical for research protocols than sterile water for injection, which must be used immediately after opening. Proper reconstitution technique is critical for maintaining peptide integrity and research reproducibility.
